VISION IS JUST A DREAM TILL A REALISTIC PROGRAM IS DEVELOPED.
Be creative with program design and stack effort and usage across user groups/functions.
Be hyper-vigilant with building a realistic timeline.
Source all the ideas you can, but build a plan that will work for your situation.
Data work is connected work.
We are dependent on many teams, functions, internal, and external entities to develop a workable plan for delivering results with data and analytics.
To deliver results, you don't have for ever, and it is important that the program/plan closely aligns with the strategic direction of the company and evolves and changes as the company's strategy and market situation changes.
It is also critical for the program to be realistic. What makes a program design or plan realistic? How fast you can progress or change completely depends on existing culture, talent, appetite for change, the existing technology landscape and the level of data literacy and adoption to run the business.
It is easy to be inundated with ideas, process checklists, project management practices and frameworks. Data product Vendors and consulting firms are known to have them in plenty. Take in as much information you need, but use only that which is relevant for your situation.
That's where we come in.
On this page, you will find our unconventional guides, articles, and ideas that we have found useful from our own work building data programs at global corporations. Do not use this input as is, instead build something for your needs.
If you find them useful, please leave a review, share with a friend or your team.
